This full day tour provides a unique overview of Bali’s diverse culture. The first hour is spent watching the Barong and Keris Dances who through their moves play out stories from the Mahabharata. Then we visit the village of Celuk where craftsmen fashion beautiful objects from gold and silver. Another attraction in this tour is Goa Gajah, a cave temple dating back to the 11th century. Nearby is the still active Mount Batur with her beautiful caldera and Lake Batur. Other points include Sebatu (coffee and clove plantation), Tampak Siring (holy spring, Tegalalang (beautiful rice terraces). After the tour, come back to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Day at Leisure

Meals: Breakfast

Have a hearty breakfast and prepare yourself for another day in paradise. You could stay in the resort and partake of the activities offered there or head out and explore Bali. We recommend the Danpasar City Tour (at your own cost). If you want to go off the beaten track, head for the town of Ubud, which is the cultural capital of Bali. It is full of temples, galleries and shops selling the works of Balinese and international artists. Another of Bali’s enduring attractions is the spectacular Uluwatu Temple. Perched on a rocky promontory, a sheer 70 m above the crashing waves, this temple was constructed in the 11th century on the site of an even older temple. After the tour, come back to your hotel for overnight stay.
